Programming/Web Design/Software Engineering
Fluent in many coding languages and fluent in the most relevant ones. Ability to pick up any language very quickly and be up and running and productive. Well versed in computer science fundamentals.
Attention to detail
Utilize version control systems so I don't lose work and employing a robust and thorough testing protocol. The first person to review my code is me often more than once. I make sure its stylistically consistent with existing code. I always make sure to review the feature I’m working on to make sure my code satisfies all of the requirements and acceptance criteria
Logical thinking and problem-solving
Analyze issues and work and test solutions and I'm able to work alone or with others to sort out the problem and find answers.
Interpersonal skills
The ability to work well on a team, communicate effectively and have the desire to learn new skills are critical traits for a well-rounded software engineer. No matter how many coding languages you know, if you can’t communicate with your team to sort out an issue, you won’t be much help to the team or company as a whole.
